The staff explained this happens often with seniors when they are moved. They worked with us to get her new meds and her regular meds given to her to get the optimum results. I have made several calls to Elim Park with no resolution and at times, no response at all. 2 weeks ago, I wrote a letter to the President/CEO and again, no response. Apparently, the philosophy of this facility in handling serious, patient issues is to ignore them. As of the last update they had a daily average of 53.9 residents compared to the CT average of 86.35 and a National average of 86.4. Star ratings are often best used for basic comparisons and when deciding which facilities to visit. However, nothing beats actually visiting the nursing home yourself when possible.

Confined to bed rest while waiting for the ultrasound she asked for a female aide to clean her after using the bed pan, she was told no.
